What To Expect

COME FOR A VISIT

WHAT TO EXPECT

We will work together to develop a trusting relationship and collaborate on a treatment plan the will best meet your needs and goals. If you don’t already have a therapist and would like one, we can offer referrals for you.

FIRST VISIT

Paperwork
Our first meeting will be 45-60 minutes long.
You will be asked to fill out HIPAA, as well as, confidentiality and privacy forms and a form acknowledging office policies and procedures. These files are available in-office and are sent via email from our patient portal if you wish to fill them out ahead of time and bring them to your first appointment.

Our Conversation
We will talk about your current needs and issues and also talk about your past medical history, family history, as well as, any psychiatric history and medication trials.

FOLLOW-UP VISITS

Our follow-up appointment is 30 minutes long.

We will discuss the challenges you may be facing, as well as, how your medication is working based on your symptoms and we may adjust your medication as needed. We will always discuss the benefits and risks of any medication we may prescribe, so you have a full understanding of your care. We also encourage clients to partake in daily exercise and eat a healthy diet, and we can provide information on beneficial additional supplementation. We have found that clients who benefit the most mentally not only take their psychiatric medication but also exercise, eat a healthy diet, take supplementation if needed, and commit to adjunct psychotherapy.
